7 hectares in Pueblo de Panay Township is dedicated to the Information Technology and Business Process Management (IT-BPM) industry.
This makes the township the land of opportunity in Northern Panay for companies that engage in contact center services, software development, game development, animation, and other IT-BPM sectors. Approved by the Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA), Pueblo de Panay TechnoPark is the first and only IT-BPM Special Economic Zone in Northern Panay, providing tax perks and incentives to investors, particularly BPOs.
The first locator in the PdP TechnoPark is ePerformax Contact Centers and BPO. The Genesis, a one-story building to be used as their recruitment and training center, is scheduled to open in February 2017. A much bigger, sixstorey building to be used for their operations is targeted to be completed in October 2017. ePerformax’s employment target is 2,000 full-time employees (FTE) for the first two years, to grow to 5,000 FTE on their 5th year in Pueblo de Panay. The presence of ePerformax in Pueblo de Panay is projected to result to a surge in Roxas City’s traditional Agri-Fishery and Remittance-based economy as one FTE is expected to support additional 3.5 employees in support services.
